What is an Audiologist?

Hearing TestAudiologists are highly trained healthcare professionals that hold a Doctoral or Master’s degree in Audiology from an accredited university. They are the only professionals trained and licensed to specifically identify, evaluate, diagnose and treat non-medical hearing and balance disorders for all ages.

By virtue of their graduate education, professional certification, and licensure, Audiologists are the most qualified professionals to perform hearing tests. Audiologists conduct a wide variety of tests to determine the exact nature of a hearing problem and present a range of treatment options for these patients.

How is Your Hearing?

  • Do people seem to mumble?
  • Do you have ringing or buzzing sounds in your ears?
  • Do you hear sounds but have trouble understanding words?
  • Do you struggle to follow conversation in a noisy environment, such as at a restaurant?
  • Do others complain that the volume is too loud when you are watching television or listening to the radio?
  • Do you find yourself asking people to repeat themselves?

If any of these apply to your hearing situation, take the first step and have your hearing evaluated by an Audiologist.

Did You Know?

In the United States, hearing loss is the third most common chronic condition. There are different types of hearing loss—some are medically treatable and some are treated with different rehabilitative solutions. When any type of hearing loss is left untreated, quality of life begins to suffer. Addressing and treating hearing loss restores self-confidence, security, and independence. Not only does it improve your own quality of life, it also provides peace of mind for you and your family.

Adult and Pediatric Diagnostic Services
