Our modern facilities include television and a kids’ corner available to make your wait times more comfortable. Our emergency services department has 13 exam rooms to accommodate a large number of patients.
Patients who visit Oneida Emergency Services can count on there being at least one doctor on hand at all times available to see them and a doctor on call 24-hours for urology, surgery, internal medicine, and OB/GYN coverage. Our emergency room employs nurses who are trained in emergency care and who are certified in Advanced Cardiac Life Support, so you receive the highest level of care. The Oneida ER is also provides a full on call SANE-Nurse Program, who are specially trained to help victims of sexual assault.
Our emergency department is managed by Team Health. This support provides invaluable benefits to our patients because Team Health has the resources to make our emergency room more efficient and to raise our standards of care.

You should come to the Emergency Room whenever you are concerned or alarmed by your or your loved one’s symptoms. Never hesitate to come to Oneida Health if you find yourself in an emergency situation. You will never be turned away due to an inability to pay.

The Emergency Department at this Hospital is staffed by physicians and physician assistants from Emergency Care Services of New York, P.C. They are experienced in treating patients needing emergency medical care. (Please see important billing on this page.)
About Your Bill
The charges for your visit to the Emergency Department include:
- Charges for the services provided by the physician and physician assistants
- Separate charges for use of the facility, x-rays, supplies, medicines, etc.
These charges will be billed separately. That is, you and/or your health insurance provider will receive SEPARATE bills: one from Emergency Care Services of New York, P.C. for emergency room physician services, one from the Hospital, and possibly others from physicians who were involved in interpreting tests that may have been conducted.
